After a six year break, Brooklyn-based Warmth is back and ready to heat things up again as they unleash some fresh new house music.  The man responsible for Warmth’s first all-new release since 2003, is Montreal native, and owner of Kinjo Music, Dave Allison, who’s production style see’s him counting Mark Farina, DJ Heather and Diz amongst his supporters.  Future UK star Tom Lown and veteran Philly producer Sean Thomas provide remixes that take the lead track ‘Y’All See’ into deep, jacking and stripped-back, moody house territory respectively.

Back at the start of the 2000’s, Warmth released a string of well received 12”’s before going into a prolonged hibernation in 2003.  In 2008 they emerged to re-issue their back catalogue in digital formats before they began signing new projects on which to finish 2009 and launch into 2010 with renewed vigour.  The label’s remit is the same today as when they launched, namely deep and techy house with emotion, or put another way, house music that makes you feel warm.

As the son of an Opera singer and an Actor, performance was in Dave Allison’s bones from an early age.  And as a self taught DJ and music producer, Dave doesn’t limit himself to one style; he can be found spinning and creating music ranging from house party rockers to slo-mo disco and chilled out loungey jazz beats.  Mark Farina used his downtempo gem ‘Reflection’ on ‘Mushroom Jazz Volume 6’ while reputable house labels such as Patsada, Highjack and Dustpan have released his music. Future releases are planned on Headtunes, Homebreakin and Maracuja amongst others.

Dave is also known as the owner of house label Kinjo Music, which has built up a strong reputation since 2006, working with artists such as Vernon & DaCosta, Kinky Movement, Biboulakis and Neighbour.  ‘The Kinjo Sessions’ is Dave’s monthly party in Montreal, welcoming guests such as Jason Hodges, Natural Rhythm, Raoul Belmans and Miles Maeda.

Following a live music background, Tom Lown started DJing at various parties and clubs in London in the mid 90's including Peg and Plastic People. A move to New York City saw him pick up a residency at SubKulture and also important online outlets East Village Radio and Downshift Radio. Through his work at a New York studio, Tom composed and produced music for TV and commercials. Now back in London, Tom continues to produce deep house, downbeat and electronica, and has secured releases on Sudup Recordings, Lost My Dog and The Savant Guard.

Sean Thomas from Philadelphia runs one of the city’s most successful house events, ‘Drumsong’ drawing in guests such as Jay Tripwire, Pete Moss and Trickski.  He runs his own recently relaunched imprint Sound Between Movement and has released music for legendary UK deep house label DiY.

Bonus interesting info: The two original mixes come pre-loaded on the new iPhone app 'Touch DJ' which is a professional DJing system for the iPhone from Amidio coming out this month. Nice!
